Step right up, step right up & feast your eyes onCarnival Cartoons newest vinyl "Harriet" the Bearded Lady. That's right ladies & gentleman Harriet, the second vinyl in Carnival Cartoons' "Carneys" series hasfinally arrived...
"Harriet is a lovely lady who just happens to haveheaps more hair on her chin than most men have undertheir hats! This wonderfully whiskered queen of themidway is certainly a looker, and in her time hasdefinitly turned a few heads! Harriet loves being thematriarch of the Carney family, and lives forperforming with them. For 20 years she has been amain stage attraction at Barker's sideshow! Naturallyshe's used to being gawked at and heckled by thecrowds. But Harriet takes it all in stride... becausethat's life as a carnival geek! People always mockwhat they don't understand! But in Harriet's mind, just because she has a decent 5 o'clock shadow by10:30AM... doesn't mean she's any less of a lady. Infact, she feels that it gives her an exotic quality, not to mention another avenue for self expression. Onthe boardwalk, Harriet is famed for her lusterouslocks. Her secret for achieving such a vainglorioussheen? ... A complicated concoction comprised ofhorse shampoo, brewers yeast, and macadamia nut oil. For her teen-aged daughter's sake, let's just hope thehair gene skips a generation!"

Joe Barbera March 24, 1911 – December 18, 2006

Another one of the great ones is gone.
Joseph Barbera died of natural causes at his home in Studio City, Los Angeles on December 18, 2006, ending a successful seventy year career in animation.
Thanks for all the inspiration Joe. Hanna Barbera Cartoons have greatly influenced my own work and will continue to do so in the future!
