Buzz Carney Buzz!

Well, quite a while back we were contacted by a UK based magazine for model and toy collectors. They felt that Buzz was one of the stronger figures they had seen in a while and asked us if it would be cool if they included him in a round-up of cool toys currently on the market. Of course we said yes! And well...today I just got some tear sheets from our contact over there. Kinda cool to see what they had to say...pretty nice review. And, we're in there with some pretty good company. I guess we're doing something right! Ainrofilac Ubilam

More Betty designs and color. These are from another ep that takes place underwater. But...this time, it was a western style show, complete with train robberies and some old mineshaft tunnels. I hate doing the same thing twice...so for this planet (Ainrofilac Ubilam) it was a challenge to make it look different than our other underwater shows...and also give it a "western" feel. (Just a note...its hard to make a wet environment feel dry and dusty!) Anyway, I think it worked out nicely, and once our afx guys worked their magic with some sweet ripple fx etc...it was a pretty cool show.

So...heres my stuff for the shady characters show. I decided to do 2 pieces. In the end i think they are going to be digital, perhaps with a little bit of gouache added to make em a bit more personal. Crazy style...but super fun!

Pure Wank

Heres a ruff for a piece I'm gonna do for the SHADY CHARACTERS show that Jared is putting on at the Live With Animals gallery in NYC at the end of july. This drawing is just pure wank!...Fun shapes, and fun ideas...and no purpose whatsoever. But.. I was just thinking that on some level we're all connected somehow...derived from a bunch of shady characters that made their home in the primordial ooze at the dawn of time. Too deep?...well how bout this...I put one of my boogers under a microscope and this drawing is what it looked like. Anyway, if i have time, i'm going to paint it. If i have less time...i'll do a screenprint. If i have even less time...i guess it will be digital. We'll see...
